Tom Deedy Productions LLC Making Pictures... ...the conflict of Commerce vs. Values which percolates below the surface of our American culture. Desperate people doing desperate things. Tall tales, bunk and hooey, mischief, goofs, problems of democracy, character-driven dilemmas, tethered souls, that old devil love, compassion. Billy Wilder said, make a picture that is interesting characrter-wise, not just something atmospheric. The atmosphere, that I can photograph. But I am careful to find an original set if I can, an original erection of that set, so that I know where Im going to put the camera, already. I write with the camera, but not too much. The picture succeeds because of the story, the characters, and the actors. I cant say it any better.
